Designation: Director, M&E and Research
Reporting to: Executive Director
The Director, M&E and Research will oversee and execute monitoring and evaluation activities, as well as supervise research initiatives. This role is essential to ensure that interventions successfully attain their goals and objectives, and insights are shared with diverse stakeholders in a timely manner.
ROLE:
MONITORING & EVALUATION
Responsible for developing and implementing an M&E framework across the organization aligned with program/project’s goals and objectives. Overall, responsible for
a. Establishing clear indicators and benchmarks for monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes.
b. Designing and implementing data collection methodologies, ensuring the collection of relevant and accurate data.
c. Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data (as needed) to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights.
d. Providing recommendations based on evaluation findings to enhance program effectiveness.
e. Communicating findings, lessons learned, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to share M&E insights and coordinate efforts.
Explore and implement innovative technologies for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in M&E technology.
RESEARCH:
Identify research topics aligning with the vision and mission of organisation and oversee the development of robust research designs and methodologies.
Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of health data, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and security.
Effectively communicate research findings to diverse audiences
Publish research results in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, psychology, economics, public health, epidemiology, statistics).
Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E systems.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Familiarity with qualitative research methods.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Demonstrated experience in drafting research papers with a strong publication track record.
Familiarity with relevant M&E tools and software.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 12 years of experience in M&E and Research roles.
In-depth knowledge of implementing large-scale public health projects in urban settings is preferred
